On Friday, Deshawn Longmire turned himself into the authorities.
An individual has been taken into custody in connection with the road rage incident that resulted in the fatal shooting of a pastor back in late June.
An accusation of murder was read at Longmire’s arraignment, which took place in the 208th State District Court. On Saturday, the judge decided that a bond amount of $500,000 was necessary to assure his presence in court.
On the evening of Friday, June 24, just after 5 o’clock, officers from the Houston Police Department responded to an accident that had occurred in the southbound lanes of South Interstate Highway 45.
When the emergency medical technicians from the Houston Fire Department arrived, they found that a man had sustained injuries before their arrival. In the end, it was determined that the person behind the wheel of the automobile was 58-year-old Ronald Mouton, who served as a preacher at East Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. After being struck by many bullets, the victim was pronounced dead at the site of the shooting.
