Former England international Perry Groves claims Sadio Mane is forcing a move to Bayern Munich this summer because He wants to move out of Mohamed Salah’s Shadow at Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah has been the main man for Jurgen Klopp’s side since He joined Liverpool in 2017. Both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have one year left on their Liverpool contracts but Liverpool seems to have made the contract extension of Mohamed Salah their priority this summer.
What even makes the departure of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich more reasonable is the wage difference between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane at Liverpool. while Mohamed Salah is the highest-paid player at Liverpool with a weekly wage of £225,000 per week whilst Sadio Mane earns less than half of what Mohamed Salah earns at Liverpool with a weekly wage of £100,000.
Liverpool is reported to have given Mohamed Salah a new contract worth £400,000 a week, which is double what he is earning now. Bayern Munich has made the transfer of Sadio Mane their priority this summer.
There were reports on Monday that Liverpool had rejected the initial 25 million pounds bid submitted by Bayern Munich.
However, Perry Groves believes Sadio Mane is moving to Bayern Munich to be the main man at the Allianz Arena with Robert Lewandowski expected to leave Bayern Munich this summer.

In an interview with talk sports, The former Arsenal defender said: “You think Mane wants to be the main man.
“At Liverpool, Salah is the main man.
“Roberto Firmino is playing, Luis Diaz has come in and Diogo Jota is there. They play with a front-three so you can always rotate.
“Salah is always the first name of the three and Mane is the second. Firmino used to be important, but he has drifted out in terms of his importance. If you look at his numbers, left, right, and through the middle, for Liverpool he has one goal in every two and a bit games.
“When he came from Southampton that was one in three and wasn’t playing in as good a team. His finishing has got better, he calms himself down more. Before, he was the typical wide player who got himself in those positions and rushed his finishing.
“He has improved on how clinical he is, his finishing.”
Former German defensive midfielder Dietmar Hamann claims Sadio Mane wants to move to Bayern Munich this summer.
The former Bayern Munich and liverpool midfielder said: “Yeah, what I hear is that he wants to come to Munich.
“He’s made it pretty clear that he thinks his time in Liverpool is up and he wants to come and now it’s a matter of how much Liverpool will want for him.
“Robert Lewandowski wants to join Barcelona, he only has a year left on his contract, so I think Bayern Munich will want to get both deals done in the next few days or next few weeks, but I think it’s very likely that he plays his football here next year.”
Dietmar Hamann added: “If Lewandowski goes they have to bring in a center forward as a younger player. Sasa Kalajdzoc at Stuttgart is someone who has done well, I think they’re after him as although Mane has played that role through the middle, I don’t like him there and I think he’s a lot more effective on that left side.”
