Hardy was born Michael Wilson Hardy to Mike and Sarah Hardy on September 13, 1990, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, United States. Per his date and month of birth, he was born under the Virgo zodiac sign. Michael is of American nationality and white ethnicity. He was raised in the Christian faith. He fell in love with music because of his dad, Mike.
While growing up, Michael often listened to music with his father. Michael attended Neshoba Central High School in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Hardy joined Wallen’s If I Know Me Tour to promote his EP, This Ole Boy, released in October 2018. The single “Rednecker” and a second EP called “Where to Find Me” came out in 2019 after this. Hardy went on the Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour with Florida Georgia Line to support the EP. He co-wrote the following hits: “I Don’t Know About You” by Chris Lane; “Drop” by Dallas Smith; “Simple,” “God’s Country” and “Talk You Out of It” by Florida Georgia Line; and “Hell Right” by Blake Shelton; and “Some Girls” by Jameson Rodgers.

Hardy collaborated with 17 musicians on his September 2019 release, Mixtape, Vol. 1, which included Keith Urban, Tracy Lawrence, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, Jake Owen, Trace Adkins, Joe Diffie, Zakk Wylde, Dustin Lynch, and Morgan Wallen. The single “One Beer” from Hardy’s debut album, A Rock, was released in September 2020. Dallas Smith’s song “Some Things Never Change” also included him. In June 2021Hardy appeared on the Brantley Gilbert song “The Worst Country Song of All Time.” He co-wrote the song “Beers on Me” by Dierks Bentley, which featured him in July 2021.
