Dancehall King, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior known in showbiz circles as Shatta Wale has lashed out at his colleague musicians for being silent on injustices from organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse Ghana.
According to the musician, his fellow artists have given Charterhouse the chance to bully and it is because most of them are foolish who can not fight for what they deserve but rather be begging the event organizers for a place in the awards scheme.
“All musicians are fools because they are afraid to fight for their rights begging Charterhouse to accept their songs for awards. The Plaque will not put food 9n my table neither will it pay my rent. It is time Ghana musicians starts taking bold steps in making sure they claim what they deserve.”
Reacting to the ban on him due to the fracas between him and his former rival Stonebwoy that marred the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, the ‘Melissa’ hitmaker noted that Ghanaians working at Charterhouse are greedy who want to benefit from the sweats of musicians but they have failed in advance because he will not allow them to use him for their own gains.
He then admonished musicians to demand what deserve them because organizers of the the Award scheme are building mansions from their sweats.
