After a livestream purportedly captured the fatal shooting of 34-year-old Lauren Martin, Savon Tyler, 35, was taken into custody. According to authorities, a Florida lady was taken into custody on Tuesday after reportedly shooting another woman to death in a social media livestream video.
According to jail records, Savon Tyler, 35, is being held without bond in the Seminole County Jail on a charge of first-degree premeditated murder.
Tyler is charged by the Sanford Police Department with the murder of 34-year-old Lauren Martin during a violent fight at Greystone Townhomes on Tuesday night.
Officers found a lady, subsequently identified as Martin, on the street with several gunshot wounds just after 7 p.m. on Tuesday after responding to a shooting on Travertine Terrace, according to Sanford police.
After being brought to a hospital, she passed away from her wounds.
According to the police, Martin drove to Tyler’s house because of a continuing quarrel.
According to court documents obtained by local publication WESH, Tyler armed herself with a “9mm sky handgun” and a “children’s miniature baseball bat” when she spotted Martin at her home.
According to the publication, Martin was shot after a brawl broke out after the two ladies fought for a short while in the middle of the road.
“Investigators are aware that this incident was livestreamed on social media, and they are in possession of the livestream videos,” police in Sanford stated.
According to authorities, Tyler was taken into custody without any problems, and “there is no one at large” about this crime.
“A family is grieving the death of a loved one today because someone decided to use violence to settle a dispute. Sanford Chief Cecil Smith stated, “The loss of Lauren will always be with her family and friends, but what caused the argument between these two won’t be remembered.”
Smith reminded everyone that “there are choices other than violence.”
