On Thursday morning, police in Kissimmee, Florida, said a 4-year-old boy was fatally shot inside his house.
At 9:48 a.m., authorities arrived on the scene. The youngster had been shot in the face when they discovered him.
The kid was taken to the hospital urgently, where he later passed away. According to a witness who spoke to authorities, the boy’s father, Michael Bragg, was dozing off at the time.
According to police, Bragg first told detectives that he had no firearms in his home.
The father allegedly changed his statement to claim that he kept guns for protection after authorities discovered two firearms inside the house.
The 32-year-old Bragg was detained and accused of possessing a gun as a convicted felon.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, the father was previously free on bail after dodging and running from authorities.
Authorities in Kissimmee are looking into the shooting.
