Police in Duluth think the victims knew one another. After learning about the deaths of five persons at two different residences in West Duluth on Thursday at around 2:10 p.m., police in Duluth, Minnesota, are currently conducting an investigation.
When Duluth Police went to a welfare check call in the 6000 block of Tacony Street, they found a 47-year-old mother and a minor deceased inside, according to a news release.
When police were allowed to enter the house, they discovered that, in addition to the suspect, a 46-year-old man, they also discovered a 45-year-old woman and a young person who had apparently been shot dead. Police officials also said that the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Although police think the victims knew one another, they have not yet disclosed their identities in order to notify their next of kin.
“The relatives and loved ones of the victims of this terrible incident are in our thoughts and prayers. The announcement stated that the investigation into this occurrence is still active and continuing. “We anticipate holding a news conference tomorrow. Additional information will be made public later.
