His Worship Andrew Prince Cudjoe, has remanded fetish priestess Hajia Serena Mohammed into police custody.
Hajia Serena is to reappear before the Bole Magistrate court on August 20, 2020.
Hajia Serena Mohammed is a lead suspect who according to information, alleged Akua Denteh is a witch who was preventing rainfall in the Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
Akua Denteh was subsequently beaten to death after the allegation from the Fetish priestess. Ghanaians got to know the sad incident after video of Akua Denteh being beaten by energetic women started spreading on various social media platforms like wildfire.
After the incident, the general Public condemned the act and called on the law enforcement agencies in the country to bring perpetrators of the crime to book.
Her arrest brought the number of arrests made in connection with the death of the 90-year-old woman to seven.
