President Akufo-Addo will tonight address the nation on measures government is taking to manage the increasing number of coronavirus infected persons in the country.
This will be his 11th address to the nation.
Ghanaians are eager to hear more from government on the steps it is taking to reduce the increasing number of cases in order to calm down nerves.
After President Akufo-Addo’s 10th address to the nation, there was hope of seeing the number reduced to it minimum limit but that has not been the case as the number of person infected within this short space after the President’s speech has surpassed previous ones.
Due to this, the President is expected to address the nation again to set things right.
President Akufo-Addo’s address is expected to touch on the causes of rise in figures and measures put in place to avoid further escalation of the cases.
This was made known by the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, at 8:00pm
The address by the president, then, was to announce Stage One of the process of easing the restrictions.
Sunday night’s address is expected to announce Stage Two of the process.
