According to reports, Pat Harrigan, a former Green Beret who is running for Congress as a Republican, had a shooting occur at his North Carolina family home last month.
The FBI is reportedly participating in the inquiry, according to WBT News on Thursday. No one at the agency was available to confirm.
The Carolina Journal was informed by Harrigan’s campaign manager that a suspect shot into his parents’ Hickory house. He claimed that the shot entered the house just a few feet from where Harrigan’s children were sleeping while they were inside the house at the time.
As of Thursday, there had been no arrests in relation to the event. The FBI’s involvement in the probe has not been verified by the Harrigan campaign.
