The cold case inquiry of Zachariah Shorty’s murder in New Mexico is intensifying. According to his mother, federal authorities have discovered a fresh lead in the cold case murder of a New Mexico artist who disappeared after a recording session at a hotel under dubious circumstances.
On July 21, 2020, Zachariah Shorty was last seen alive at the Journey Inn in Farmington, New Mexico, a small, friendly town in the northwest of the state bordering the Navajo Nation. He was a twenty-three-year-old musician who had come to the hotel with four others to record.
His specific departure’s circumstances are unknown. At around eleven p.m., his mother, Evangeline “Vangie” Randall-Shorty, received a call from one of his pals. Her kid walked outside to have a cigarette, the caller informed her.
What Happened to Jason Landry? Texas Pastor Seeks Answers After Son’s Mysterious Disappearance

Authorities discovered Texas State University freshman Jason Landry’s car destroyed and abandoned around one mile from his last known location—against his intended path. Landry had been missing for three and a half years.
His family is still in the dark about what happened, hoping that someone would come forward with information or that the police will be able to solve the cold case.
His father, Kent Landry, told Fox News Digital, “They don’t even know if he’s missing in the sense of a crime – or missing, and he hasn’t been found.”
The last time he was seen, his son was on his way out of his San Marcos residence on December 13, 2020. His family said he was returning home to Missouri City for Christmas vacation following his first semester.
