A family doctor from Michigan was charged after meeting what he believed to be a 15-year-old girl for sex but was actually a police decoy meant to capture the predator.
The Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team (GHOST) of the Genesee County Sheriff’s office carried out an operation using a sheriff’s deputy posing as a 15-year-old girl on an online platform, which led them to a Michigan doctor, Dr. Parminder Jaswal, 61.
Jaswal took wine coolers, Coca-Cola, and Oreos along with him and planned to pay $200 for sex with the child, according to Christopher Swanson, the sheriff of Genesee County.
“Dr. Jaswal came to our place to have sex with a 15-year-old decoy – 15! — for $200,” Swanson stated during a press conference. One of the things that drew him was that our decoy wore braces in the circumstance.
Swanson revealed that Jaswal emailed indecent images of his genitalia and had graphic chats with the sheriff dummy while driving from Saginaw, Michigan. Swanson continued, “Investigators think the doctor took the pornographic images in his office and transmitted them while visiting patients.
On Sunday, March 5, GHOST officers detained Jaswal and accused him of using a computer to commit a crime, creating child sexually explicit content, approaching a minor for immoral intentions, and fourth-degree criminal sexual behavior.
Due to allegations that Jaswal assaulted the dummy before being apprehended, a fourth charge of criminal sexual misconduct was added, Swanson revealed.
“Predators are known to travel. He left Saginaw and came here. We observe that other sheriffs travel extensively when we collaborate with them “Says Swanson.
Swanson thinks Jaswal, a physician for many years, may have additional victims. The sheriff’s office can be reached at 810-257-3426 by victims.
