Manchester United threw away a two-goal lead in the first half to draw with Tottenham Hotspurs on Thursday. Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford gave Manchester United a two-goal lead in the first half after a complete control.
Erik Ten Hag’s side’s terrible display in the second half saw Tottenham grow more robust in the game. Tottenham right-back pulled one back for the host in the 56 minutes, and Heung-Min Son added Tottenham’s second in the 79 minutes to earn a draw for the host.
This was a much-improved performance for Spurs following their 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Newcastle United over the weekends. The result means United remains fourth 2 points behind third-place Newcastle United, with a game in hand.
