Chelsea lost to Swiss side Servette 2-1 in the second league of the conference league final play-off but managed to advance to the group stage on a 3-2 aggregate. The Blues won 2-0 in the first league at the Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca fielded a strong line-up, including Madueke, Mudryk, Adarabioyo, and Fernandez, but it was 18-year-old Tyrique George whose performance caught the eye of the Italian manager.
Tyrique George was named on the bench and was brought on in the 62nd minute of the second half to replace Christopher Nkunku.

“Then we concede the goal and it’s normal to suffer a little bit. I was very worried about this game.
“For them, it’s probably their biggest game of the season. This kind of game, you have many things to lose and not many things to win.
“This is why I was so worried yesterday and before the game. It’s a competition that we are going to try and do our best.
“The team, the way we started, the team was there and then we conceded, they had some chances and then we lost a little bit of confidence.”
When asked About Noni Madueke’s inclusion in the England squad for their upcoming international break, he continued: “I am very happy. The important thing for him is to not drop anything and keep working hard.”
Meanwhile, Everton Manager Sean Dyche has denied receiving any bid from Chelsea for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
There were reports that Chelsea was interested in signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin after Victor Osimhenand Ivan Toney’s move stalled. The two strikers are reported to be on their way to Saudi Arabian Pro League side Al-Ahli.
However, Everton manager Sean Dyche has denied those reports. When asked at a press conference if an offer had been received for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, he said, “No, we’re just carrying on as we always have done with Dom and all the other players, trying to stay open with our dialogue—that’s it.”
