Experts claim to have located a lost private jet from 1971; the NTSB is looking into the allegation.
Experts think they have located the remains of a corporate private plane that crashed more than 50 years ago in Vermont’s Lake Champlain, 200 feet below the surface.
On January 27, 1971, the private aircraft bearing the registration N400CP vanished soon after it departed Burlington for Providence, Rhode Island.
On the 1971 trip were passengers Richard Windsor, Robert Williams, and Frank Wilder, as well as pilots Donald Myers and George Nikita.
The wreck could never be located, despite 17 different tries over several decades.
