Debbie Collier, the Georgia office manager discovered dead a month ago, will be laid to rest following a private memorial service, according to an obituary published in her hometown newspaper, the Athens Banner-Herald, on Monday. Her murderer is still at large, and investigators have yet to publicly identify a person of interest or suspect.
The private funeral will be held at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home East, but no date was given.
“She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend,” according to the release. “After a long career at Athens First (Synovus), she went to work at Carriage House Realty, where she met a whole new group of acquaintances.”
The news of the 59-year-death old’s surprised colleagues at the real estate business.
