Darren Collison is a well-known retired professional basketball player from the United States. He was born on August 23, 1987, in Rancho Cucamonga, California, under the sign of Leo. He is black and American. He was born to June Griffith and Dennis Collison, elite track and field athletes for Guyana. He went to Etiwanda High School and graduated there. There, he played basketball for coach Dave Kleckner. Collison was named a fourth team Parade All-American. When he finished high school, he went to the University of California, Los Angeles, where he kept playing basketball.
Darren Collison was Jordan Farmar’s backup in the 2005–2006 season of the Bruins, and the following year, he was the starting point guard. On July 12, 2012, Dahntay and Collison Jones were traded to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Ian Mahinmi.
