In an interview with CNN, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called for the “formal deprogramming of the cult members” of Trump. On Friday, conservatives were angry about Clinton’s recent plan to “formally deprogramme” people who supported former President Donald Trump.
Clinton made the claim in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on Thursday. After she did, many well-known Republicans and GOP lawmakers criticized the high-profile Democrat.
During the interview, Clinton said that she felt sorry for how hard political arguments have become in the United States because Trump supporters have taken over the Republican Party. “I mean, we had very strong partisans in both parties in the past, and we fought very bitterly over all sorts of things,” she said. But there wasn’t this tiny bit of extreme wagging on the Republican Party’s tail like there is now.
This was Trump’s fault, and Clinton said, “And sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists follow Donald Trump’s lead, who has no credibility left by any measure.” He only wants what’s best for himself. His defense is now being used in both civil and criminal cases. When are they going to break up with him?”
The former Democratic presidential hopeful then said that they might need to be de-programmed through “formal” means.
She stated, “Because at some point, you know, maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members, but something needs to happen.”
Amanpour could be seen laughing at Clinton’s comment about “deprogramming” on tape.
But conservatives were very angry with Clinton after a video of her quip got to X.

According to independent journalist Glenn Greenwald, Hillary Clinton is becoming more and more like liberals: she says what liberals really think and feel but don’t want to say. This is especially true as she gets more and more angry about her loss in 2016, even when you don’t think she can.

As Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, put it, “Hillary Clinton helps explain why her Democratic allies are trying to jail Trump, Republican Party leaders and activists.”
Google’s Greg Price said, “She’s the evil witch of the west, Satan’s child, and the mean old middle school teacher all rolled into one.”
Prof. Gad Saad, an author and professor, said, “She is truly unbelievable.”
Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., said, “Hillary says the quiet part out loud, and it shows what the Left really wants.” Use the government to get rid of any resistance. Authoritarianism at its best.”
David Asman of Fox News wrote, “Maybe Trump voters need to be formally deprogrammed.” Are you sure? Hillary once more showed how her extreme Alinsky roots make her want to be a totalitarian. Will Democrats take back this shameless nod to Soviet-style control?”
Kevin Southard, a spokesman for the Kentucky GOP, wrote on Facebook, “‘Formal Deprogramming’ brought to you by the creator of ‘Baskets of Deplorables.'”

Another option was given by conservative columnist James Lindsay, who said, “Deprogram the Woke.”
Joe Concha, a contributor to Fox News, criticized Amanpour for finding Clinton’s comment funny. He wrote, “Of course, Amanpour, who swears she’s just an objective journalist asking the tough questions, laughs along with Hillary’s deplorables 2.0 moment…”
