Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been nominated by French football for the Best French footballer abroad.
The 31 years old Chelsea midfielder will seek to win his third-best French footballer abroad award after winning the prestigious award in 2017 and 2018.
Despite N’Golo Kante having a fine season with Chelsea, he faced tough competition from Real Madrid Karim Benzema, Ousmane Dembélé (FC Barcelona), and Mike Maignan (AC Milan), and Theo Hernandez (AC Milan).

The 31 years old midfielder was part of the Chelsea team that won the FIFA club world Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
Chelsea is currently third on the Premier League table and will battle Liverpool for the FA Cup at Wembley on the 14th of this month.
Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
The Real Madrid attacker is seen as the favorite to win the award this season after helping Real Madrid win their 35th La Liga.
Karim Benzema has scored 42 goals and provided 13 assists in 42 appearances for Real Madrid this season.
Real Madrid is also in the semi-finals of the Champions League and they face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.
Benzema has also been tipped to win the Ballon d’Or this season.
Ousmane Dembélé (FC Barcelona)
The French International has turned his season around under Barcelona’s new manager Xavier Hernández.
Dembele’s contract with Barcelona expires this summer and the French man seems to be on his way from Barcelona this summer.
The 24 years old has scored two goals and provided eleven assists in 29 matches for Barcelona this season helping Barcelona secure a Champions League spot next season.
Mike Maignan (AC Milan)
The AC Milan shot-stopper has also earned a nomination for the best French footballer abroad.
AC Milan is currently on top of the Serie A league table two points ahead of their bitter rival Inter Milan.
Mike Maignan has kept 15 clean sheets in 29 Serie A appearances and currently leads the Serie A clean sheet chart ahead of Samir Handanovic of inter Milan and Rui Patrício AS of Roma all having 14 clean sheets.
Theo Hernandez (AC Milan)
The 24 years old defender has been impressive for the Serie A giant and has been instrumental for AC Milan in their quest to win their first League title in 11 years.
Theo Hernandez has made 38 appearances for AC Milan scoring 4 goals and providing 9 assists in the process.
PSG star Kylian Mbappé has been nominated for UNEP ligue one player of the season.
The Franch international is set to battle out with Wissam Ben Yedder (Monaco), Dimitri Payet (OM), Lucas Paqueta (Lyon) and Martin Terrier (Rennes).

Three PSG Players (Diani, Geyoro and Katoto) will compete for the best female footballer of the year with Catarina Macario (olympique lyon) and Clara Matéo (Paris FC).
