Chelsea Football Club has announced cryptocurrency firm WhaleFin as their new shirt sleeve sponsor for the 2022-23 campaign replacing Hyundai.
The past week has been a busy week for the Blues after The Club confirmed on their official Website on Saturday that the UK Government has given Todd Boehly-led consortium the green light to purchase Chelsea.
After the successful takeover by Toddy Boehly, The two times European Champions had a deal with the Amber Group, which owns the digital asset platform WhaleFin as their new shirt sleeve sponsor.
The WhaleFin will replace South Korean car firm Hyundai as shirt sleeve sponsors next season.
Chelsea is believed to receive £20 million a year which is double the amount they received from their previous sponsor (Hyundai). Hyundai signed a five-year deal worth £50million (£10million per year) with the west London club back in 2018.
Both the Chelsea Men and Women team will wear the WhaleFin logo on the team Jersey.
It is claimed that Chelsea agreed to a deal with the Amber Group before the UK Government sanctioned Chelsea.
According to Skysports, Hyundai and Chelsea are exploring a different commercial partnership.
