Stokes began his acting career with guest appearances on series such as Stranger Things, Daytime Divas, and Tell Me Your Secrets.
He turned down an audition for Outer Banks in February 2019 before reading for Topper and then John B. in April 2019. After the first season premiered on April 15, 2020, critical praise resulted in a rapid renewal for a second season in July.
The same month, he was cast as TJ in One of Us Is Lying. Unfortunately, Chase was replaced soon after filming the pilot in 2019 due to a scheduling conflict with Outer Banks’ second season.
