Sabrina Kauldhar, according to Canadian investigators, killed people over the course of three days in and around the Toronto region.
Authorities this week said that a Canadian lady, suspected of killing three individuals in a few days in separate killings, had been taken into custody before being classified as a serial killer.
Following the deaths of a lady and two men in and around the Toronto region, Sabrina Kauldhar, 30, was taken into custody at a motel in Burlington, Ontario, the Niagara Regional Police Service said on Friday.
At the press conference, Niagara Regional Police Chief Bill Fordy said to reporters, “I think by definition she is a serial killer.” “Two or more offenses, so by definition, I think that’s a fair comment.”
On October 1, when Toronto officers reacted, they discovered a lady in her 60s dead inside a house, sparking the start of Kauldhar’s suspected killing spree. First responders were summoned to a disturbance in Niagara Falls’ John Allan Park the next day.
Upon their arrival, they discovered a man suffering from severe injuries.
According to a statement from the Niagara Regional Police Service, “47-year-old Lance Cunningham was pronounced deceased at the scene despite medical intervention efforts by Niagara Emergency Medical Services and the Niagara Falls Fire Service.”
The third murder happened on October 3. Hamilton, a suburb of Toronto, has a parking lot where a guy was discovered stabbed. Mario Bilich, a 77-year-old retired teacher, was the victim. He was sent to a hospital, where he eventually passed away.
“Investigators were able to link the Hamilton homicide to the recent murder in John Allen Park in Niagara Falls, determining the suspect matched the description in both cases,” police stated. “An additional link was made to the active homicide investigation from October 1 in Toronto.”
Cunningham and Bilich were allegedly picked at random by the investigators, although the suspect knew the victim from Toronto. The Toronto murder victim’s identity was subsequently confirmed by the authorities, but they have not made it public.
Police added that Kauldhar is accused with first-degree murder in connection with the Hamilton incident and second-degree murder in connection with the deaths in Toronto and Niagara.
