California parents were detained after their 2-year-old toddler drank ‘rainbow fentanyl’ according to authorities.

Authorities say a Northern California couple was detained Tuesday after their 2-year-old child drank what detectives believe was rainbow-colored fentanyl.

According to the Butte County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded Monday afternoon to a call that the parents took their child to a fire station in the Yankee Hill area because they were concerned the child had ingested an unknown chemical while in the care of someone else.
