The Porcupine warriors has once again displayed their prowess by beating their opponent 2 goals to nil in the CAF Champions League at Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Sunday, September 15,2019.

Asante Kotoko scored in the early minute of the game with a beautiful Free kick from Augustin Okrah giving the team an upper hand on their visitors.

The game looked very competitive after Kotoko’s first opener with Goalkeeper Felix Annan refusing to allow a brilliant shot into his net from Etoile du Sahel in the first half.

Augustin Okrah who scored in the 3rd minute of the game tried his luck in the 32th minute of the game to make it 2 for Kotoko but his ball was denied by Etoile Goalie.

The second half of  the game saw the Porcupine warriors mounting serious pressure on their opponent making it difficult for their visitors to find their way in the match.

Striker Richard Arthur scored his debut for Kotoko in the 55th minute making it two for the home team which sealed their win.

It looked like Coach Kjetil Zachariassen’s side was really prepared for the game after they returned from the dressing room with accurate football possession and passes making it difficult for Etoile du Sahel to organize their frontliners to make an impact in the game.

The game ended 2-0 in favour of Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Asante Kotoko will travel to the North African country for the return leg encounter in a fortnight time.
