Bryan Guy Adams was born to Elizabeth Jane and Conrad J. Adams on November 5, 1959, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, under the Scorpio zodiac sign. Adams holds Canadian nationality and is of white ethnicity. He had an eventful childhood of world travel due to his father’s career. His father was a British Army officer who attended Sandhurst.
He subsequently enlisted in the Canadian Army and served as a diplomat in the Canadian foreign service and as a peacekeeping observer for the UN. In 1978, Adams inked a contract with A&M Records and published his self-titled first album in 1980, with many singles that charted in Canada. In 1981, he released his second studio album, “You Want It, You Got It.”
In 1983, he launched his breakthrough album “Cuts Like a Knife,” which included a series of hits that charted in the United States and Canada.
The following year, he released “Reckless,” which debuted at number one on both the Canadian Album Chart and the Billboard 200 in the United States, as well as in the United Kingdom and Australia. 1997 saw the release of his third album, “Into the Fire.” He also wrote a song for “A Very Special Christmas,” which became one of the best-selling holiday albums in the US.
