Ex-power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally reached an agreement in their 8-year long legal battle.
Commenting on the new development was Angelina’s lawyer James Simon. He said, “This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.” Brad’s lawyers have not made any public comments yet.
The former couple first met in 2005 as co-stars in the movie, ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith.’ At the time, Brad was married to actress Jenniffer Aniston and Jolie was a single mother to son Madox after two divorces.
Jennifer Aniston divorced Brad later that year. Brangelina, a name coined by the media for the couple announced their engagement in 2012 marrying two years afterwards.
Unfortunately, things went south as Angelina filed for divorce shortly before their second anniversary, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
It wasn’t until 2022 when it was revealed in a separate court proceeding that Angelina accused Brad of abuse on her and two of their children in a private jet.
During the flight, Pitt allegedly “choked one of the children and struck another in the face” as well as “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her.” He also allegedly “poured beer and red wine” on Jolie and the kids.
Brad was however, cleared after police investigations into the case and he has denied the allegations.
In April of 2019, a judge annulled their marriage and the following years were stained with negotiations of the custody of their children and Chateau Miraval.
In 2022, Brad sued Angelina for selling her 50% stake in Miraval Wines without his permission. Brad said it was a violation of their agreement. Jolie later filed a countersuit in September that same year. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have six children together.
