For the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, there will be an establishment of a permanent headquarters for both Poland and the United Kingdom.
The White House announced on Wednesday that President Joe Biden intends to increase the number of military deployments that the United States maintains in Europe in the coming weeks and months.
A fact sheet that was produced by the White House claims that President Joe Biden has given the go-ahead for more military outposts to be established in the countries of Poland, Romania, the United Kingdom, and the Baltics. There will be a permanent headquarters established in Poland for the United States Fifth Army Corps, two additional F-35 squadrons will be sent to the United Kingdom, and there will be an increase in rotational deployments in Romania and the Baltics. These three initiatives are all part of the United States military’s plan to bolster its presence in Europe.
Additionally, the United States will be providing Germany with an air defense artillery brigade as well as a short-range air defense battalion. Italy will also receive a short-range air defense battery from the United States. On the first deployment, there will be 625 people, and on the second deployment, there will be 65 people.
In addition to this, the United States asserts that it is collaborating with Spain to increase from four to six the number of destroyer warships that are stationed in the port of Rota.
