Career
Hunt signed as a youth athlete as a hooker with the Brisbane Broncos. In 2008, Hunt claimed the inaugural Toyota Cup (under-20s) Player of the Year award and was also named to the interchange bench of the team of the year. In the 2008 Toyota Cup championship game, Hunt played halfback. From 2008 to 2009, Hunt participated in 45 U20s games, scored 27 tries, and kicked 93 goals for 294 points.
Hunt made his NRL debut as a halfback for the Brisbane Broncos in a 12-46 loss to the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Remondis Stadium in round 15 of the 2009 season. Hunt played one more game that season, losing 14-34 against the Gold Coast Titans in round 20 at Robina Stadium.
