Chelsea’s new summer signing, Nicolas Jackson, is expected to lead Chelsea attackers this season, as the case has been during their pre-season tour in the United States.
The 22-year-old Senegalese international is already becoming a Chelsea Fan favorite after an outstanding display during the pre-season. Jackson is expected to be Chelsea’s main source of goals this campaign following a long-term injury to Christopher Nkunku.
Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell praises Nicolas Jackson, comparing him to his former Teammate and Premier League legend Jamie Verdy.
What did Ben Chilwell say about Nicolas Jackson?
In an interview with TalkSport, he said: “Personally, it’s a very different kind of center-forward to a lot of center-forwards you see nowadays, in a positive way.
“It’s a nice surprise in a way to see a no.9 that loves running in behind; it kind of takes me back to when I was at Leicester with Vards [Vardy].
“It’s definitely a strong attribute to have when you can do that and do that in a very threatening way.
“So, hopefully we can all give him the service that he needs and the service that I’m sure he will get when he’s got pace like that and wants to get in behind defences.”
Nicolas Jackson is in contention of making his official debut for Chelsea against Liverpool in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, William Gallas has made a huge Mykhailo Mudryk claim.
The Ukrainian had a tough six months at Chelsea following his record move to Stamford Bridge.
However, Willian Gallas expects Mykhailo Mudryk to be the difference maker for Chelsea this season after facing him in the Game4Ukraine charity match.

He said via Gambling Zone: “I saw Mudryk up close when I was playing in the Game4Ukraine on Saturday.
“To be honest, even though I said that he needed a year to adapt to the demands of the Premier League after he joined the club, I saw his pre-season games, and I saw him up close: he looks good.
“He is really quick. He only played in the Game4Ukraine for ten minutes, but he was very sharp.
“To see someone on TV is completely different to seeing someone on the pitch, and I think he will have a great season. I think he will make the difference for Chelsea this season.
“He is the type of player that thrives off confidence. Obviously, things were difficult for him last season. I think this year you will see a different Mudryk.
“It looks like he needs to be one of the main players – he needs that confidence from his manager – it looks like he has it and if he can play week-in, week-out he will be ready to do everything to make the difference for Chelsea. I think he will be Chelsea’s main guy this season.”
