General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has described Vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s Town Hall meeting held on Tuesday 11th February, 2020 as a comedy show led by a comedian.
On Tuesday, February 11th, Akufo-Addo government organized a town hall meeting to engage the people of Ghana on the achievements of government and seek views from the Public on good policies which need to be strengthen and other policies which has to be abolished.
However, commenting on the town hall meeting organised by the ruling New Patriotic Party, General Mosquito as he’s affectionately called, said Dr Bawumia only went on stage to tickle himself with his own jokes.
“Dr Bawumia acted like an Okala on stage and laughed at his own jokes because he believes most of the things he was saying were not true and did not act like a serious vice president who was addressing his nation,” he opined.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Thursday, General Mosquito said the data Dr Bawumia presented were not the realities of the Ghanaian society.
“If his data is true, it is supposed to reflect in the lives of the people who are the referees who will attest and not for him to write a new data,” he said.
Mr Nketia further stressed since the best yardstick to measure the performance of the incumbent government is the condition of the citizens, the data presented does not reflect the reality and makes it wrong.
