A lawsuit has been filed against the proprietor of the restaurant as well as the other individuals suspected of assaulting the victim.
After attempting to make a change to her order while in the drive-through lane at a Popeyes restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, a woman has filed a new complaint claiming that employees at the business assaulted her.
The Popeyes restaurant located on Cleveland Avenue in southwest Atlanta is under suspicion of being the location where the event that occurred in September 2022 took place.
According to a lawsuit that was filed on Friday, Denetra Dawson was the victim of an attack by employees when she attempted to modify an incorrect order. According to the complaint, the employees tore off a portion of her hair and left her with bruises. Dawson asserts in her complaint that she sought for assistance with an inaccurate order, and that this prompted an altercation between the two of them.
Denetra Dawson told Fox 5 Atlanta that she didn’t even believe she would live to see her children again. “I didn’t even think I was going to make it back to my kids,” she said. I had no intention of getting into any kind of trouble; all I wanted to do was get some food for my children.
