At least 15 people have been killed,, including four journalists,s, in an Israeli airstrike on Nasser Hospital in Gaza on on Monday, Palestinian health officialss said. One of the journalistss killed was a worker for Reuters.
According to the officials, cameraman Hussam al-Masri, a Reuters contractor, was killed in the first strike.

Photographer Hatem Khaled, who was also a Reuters contractor, was wounded in a second strike, the officials said.

Following the strike, neither the Israeli military nor the Prime Minister’s Office had any immediate comment regarding the strikes.
According to eyewitnesses,the second strike happened after rescue workers, journalistss and other people had rushed to the site of the initial attack.
The Reuters live video feed from the hospital, which was operated by Masri, suddenly shut down at the moment of the initial strike, Reuters footage showed.

The three other journalists were identified by Gaza health officials as Mariam Abu Dagga, Mohammed Salama and Moaz Abu Taha. A rescue worker was also among those killed, they added.
According to the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, over 240 Palestinian journalists have been killed by Israeli fire in Gaza since the war started on October 7, 2023.
