At least one persone was killed, five in critical sondition and several other injured aftre a school bus traveling back from a field trip oustide Charlotte, North Carolina overturned on a South Carolina highway, according to mutiple news agency.
According to Chester County Emergency Managemnet Director Ed Darby, about 21 students were treated for injueries of whom roughly 17 were transported to the hospital via ambulance and helicopter.

One student identifeid as 13-year-old Jose Marie Gonzales Linares, died in the crash, according to Chester County Coroner Terry D. Tinker.
According to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP), the accident, which occured at about 1:45 p.m. on the southbound side of Interstate 77 in Chester County near exit 55, involved a Lexington County School District 2 school bus carrying about 35 students and three adults from Pine Ridge Middle School,

A tire blew on one of three buses traveling back from the field trip, causing it to crash into a guardrail, according to SCHP.
In a Facebook post, the Chester County School District posted noting it had personnel on scene helping.
“Our thoughts, prayers, and support go out to the Lexington County School District 2 and those involved,” the district wrote in the post.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
