Senegal coach Aliou Cisse believes a move for Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich this summer will be a perfect fit for Sadio Mane.
Sadio Mane has one year left on his Liverpool contract and reports are linking him to Bayern Munich this summer with Robert Lewandoski seeking to leave Bayern Munich this summer.
The Senegal National Team captain has contributed immensely to the success of Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool since joining the Club in the summer of 2016.
There are reports that Liverpool has rejected Bayern Munich’s first bid for Sadio Mane.
But Sadio Mane’s National Team coach Aliou Cisse believes Sadio Mane will fit in well at Bayern Munich.
What did Cisse say?
Speaking to reporters, The Senegal National team coach said: “I tell my boys to try to work out the contract issues so that when their respective championships resume, they will have already found a base.
“I heard about Sadio at Bayern. For me, it is a club that is of its standing. Bayern is intense, pressing football with a German coach.
“Sadio played in Salzburg in Austria which is a border country, and that means he is not going into unknown territory.
“For me, the club where he will feel the best is Bayern.”
Meanwhile, Gabriel Agbonlahor claims Sadio Mane could stain his Liverpool legacy because of the way He is conducting himself amid Bayern Munich speculations.
The former Aston Villa striker said: “I would be very careful if I was Mane to not lose his Liverpool legacy.
“For me, he’s a Liverpool legend and he doesn’t want to say the wrong thing and lose the respect of the Liverpool fans.
“He says he wants to leave and he can still be respectful to Liverpool.
“They bought you, for you a big amount of money from Southampton and gave you a platform to prove you’re a top, top player. I don’t think there’s any need to say the things that he’s said.”
He added: “Players need to understand now that if there’s a camera in front of you or a microphone you can’t be making jokes about your club. It’s a sensitive time for Liverpool fans.
“He just needs to say ‘You know what, I want to leave, Liverpool can’t meet my contract demands, I want to go somewhere else and I’ll love Liverpool forever’. There are ways to go out.”
Sadio Mane has been tipped to contest Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and club team Mohamed Salah for the Ballon D’or this year after helping Liverpool win the FA Cup and Carabao Cup this season and also winning the AFCON Cup of Nations with Senegal in February.
