The National Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by George Opare Addo, has lauded President Akufo-Addo for his great speech yesterday.
However he is of the view that the president’s statement is a mere speech because of his numerous speeches which did not materialized.
“I must admit that the speech from the president was an encouraging one but country men and women, flowery speeches does not necessarily mean they would be followed through.”
According to him, the fight against coronavirus calls for a united front and for that no one should politicize the president’s speech for political gains.
” We are suppose to be united in this fight against covid 19 but anytime the president speaks then his social media robots begin to politicize the whole process. If we continue like this it will be extremely difficult to defeat this virus.”

We elect Leaders to address our challenges that confronts the country. We are faced with a crisis and it is expected that those at the helm of affairs will rise up to the challenge. Let’s hold our praises and see how this whole covid 19 thing will go.
If experiences from other countries is anything to go by then I fear to say that we are in for a long haul.
And to those who think elections have already been won by this inept and dishonest government please hold your horses. The impact of covid 19 on the global economy is far reaching than we can imagine and will definitely have an effect on our struggling economy that we were made to believe was robust.
