A woman from Massachusetts who is accused of burying her newborn child in a gravel pit in December 1985 when temperatures were far below freezing was arrested and charged this week.
When a Siberian Husky in Frenchville, Maine, brought what its owner thought was a toy inside the house, this marked the beginning of a long-standing cold case. According to The News God, the body found was that of a newborn baby girl who still had her umbilical cord attached to her abdomen.
After giving birth to her child, the mother is said to have abandoned her newborn child in a gravel pit located in Northern Maine, according to the state police.
