If your goal is predatory reports, such as lions, cheetahs, leopards and others, then Africa is ideal. Wild cats live in enormous pride and have been a symbol of greatness and influence for centuries, so capturing moments of them resting in the middle of the herd can be a great addition to your photos.

Catching a leopard in the frame will be the most difficult because its camouflage coloring makes them more mysterious and secret. Also, they can often be seen on trees, especially at night, so you should use binoculars with night vision to observe them.

African elephants, the largest land animals, are easy to find and photograph. They are a symbol of the continent and often act as models for tourists and nature explorers, as they are easily seen in many game reserves and national parks in Africa. You should try to find elephants and get a chance to observe large herds of elephants in their natural habitat, as well as how they live, eat, play in the water, or raise their offspring.

And, of course, giraffes. In Africa, you can see them by their unique coloring and appearance; they often roam the savannas and pose beautifully for photos. In a calm state, a giraffe can be pretty interesting to look at its coloration, long neck and legs, and you can try to contact them during a safari. And sunset photos with giraffes become one of the best shots of the trip.

Of course, for a successful photo hunt in Africa, the camera on your phone will not be enough for you because it does not convey even a part of the incredible beauty of wild nature. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare special equipment before the trip. The primary working tool will be a camera, which will help you record everything around you. A powerful lens, the possibility of manual adjustment and zoom will come in handy so that your pictures will be harmonious and of good quality. Depending on the type of photos you want, mirrorless cameras are the best for you, as they allow you to get high-resolution images and make quick shots, which are necessary when working with wild animals that are constantly on the move.

Also, you will need a variety of tripods and monopods, especially if you are planning a long-term video shoot or to get shots that will include you. Tripods will help stabilize your camera and avoid blurring your shots, making them excellent tools for photo hunting and lightening the load on your hands.
