While there are many out there who believe that Niacin and Niacinamide are one and the same, they are actually two different forms of the vitamin B3 and are used for treating different things. While Niacin is mostly used in order to treat patients with high cholesterol, circulation problems, migraines and diarrhea, Niacinamide is mostly used for the treatment of diabetes and two specific skin conditions referred to as bullous pemphigoid and granuloma annulare.
