According to police and local media, a woman was killed in a horrific collision on I-95 in New York early on Tuesday as a result of her car being trapped between two tractor-trailers.

According to the NYPD, the collision took place on the Cross Bronx Expressway just after 2:30 a.m. near Exit 1A/Major Deegan in the Morris Heights neighborhood of the Bronx.

After rear-ending a truck belonging to a postal service contractor, the woman waited inside her vehicle for police to arrive. However, as she waited, a second truck struck both the woman’s vehicle and the first truck, according to the police.

According to footage from the scene, all three of the automobiles were completely in flames and blocking lanes of traffic.
