Allen Barrington, a local of Brooklyn, is accused of being involved in both the marketing of prostitution as well as the trafficking of sex.
On Friday, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez disclosed that a New York man had been charged on counts of sex trafficking an 18-year-old girl from another state.
Allen Barrington, age 37, is being charged with a variety of crimes, including inciting prostitution and the trafficking of human people.
“We say that this defendant trafficked a young lady from another state into the state of New York in return for sex,” he continued. “This young woman was brought into the state of New York by the defendant,” Gonzalez stated. Teenagers who are vulnerable need to be safeguarded from predators who wish to hurt them and exploit them, and I’m here to do my part in that protection.

According to the New York Daily News, on Friday, an indictment charging Barrington with sex trafficking attempted sex trafficking, second-and third-degree prostitution, third-degree assault, and third-degree attempted assault was submitted before the Brooklyn Supreme Court.
