Students from Hammond High School were not investigated by the authorities as possible suspects in the event.
On Thursday evening in Louisiana, police said that the shooting left four people injured. The incident occurred following high school graduation.
Hammond, Louisiana served as the location for the commencement ceremony, which was held at Southern Louisiana State University. According to the statements made by the police, the incident took place at 8:00 p.m. local time when Hammond High School students and their families were exiting the SLSU University Center.
The Hammond, Indiana, police department believes that no juveniles were responsible for the event. Edwin Bergeron, the head of police in Hammond, stated that four persons were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
