In Holt, Florida, deputies from Okaloosa County were successful in locating a thief.
When officials attempted to take him into custody earlier this year, he ran into the marsh. On the other hand, he attempted to depart the scene again on Saturday by riding his riding lawnmower into the woodland.
Dusty Mobley, forty years old at the time of his discovery, was discovered by Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies at a house on Pasco Broxson Circle in the city of Holt. He was wanted for questioning in connection with the theft of a $40,000 watercraft in January.
Mobley is accused of putting his riding lawnmower, a John Deere, into “high speed” after noticing the police officers and speeding away from the scene. Mobley was quickly apprehended by pursuing law enforcement who had previously shunned him.
Mobley was found to have a firearm, a handcuff key, and a pipe that may have had traces of methamphetamine, according to the authorities.
