A detective’s unmarked department vehicle was taken while on duty, according to Baltimore cops.

There have been no reports of injury to the detective.

According to investigators, three armed individuals carjacked a Baltimore police detective who was on duty on Tuesday night.

On South Hanover Street, in front of a convenience store, a carjacking occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. The detective opened fire on the suspects as they attempted to flee in his unmarked police vehicle.

It is believed that the suspects drove their vehicle over the Hanover Street bridge, causing it to crash.

They took to the streets on foot once they were out of sight. As of now, only two of the three suspects have been captured, with the third remaining on the run from law enforcement. According to reports from the WBFF, neither the cops nor the suspects were hurt in the incident.
