The father of a one-year-old girl who passed away in California has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with her passing.

The body of Jayveyon Burley’s 22-year-old daughter, Leilani, was found in the Los Angeles River below the Ocean Boulevard Bridge, the Inglewood Police Department said, according to one of the media outlets. This led to Jayveyon Burley being arrested, and he was later charged with killing his daughter.

Officers went to Burley’s mother’s house, where he lives with her, around 11 p.m. on Sunday. She had called the police to report that someone was missing. Burley lives with his mother. His mother reported to the authorities that her son had left for Long Beach to pick up his two children from the mother of the children. On the other hand, when he went back to his house in Inglewood, he only had one of the children with him.
