Cecilia Thomas experienced a head injury while she was in the South Shore area of Chicago.
On Friday, a five-month-old girl was shot in the head as she was riding in a car in Chicago, and sadly, she did not survive the injuries she sustained.
According to a statement released by the Chicago Police Department, a shooting that occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. resulted in the death of an infant who was located in the 7700 block of South-South Shore.
According to the police, someone inside a second unidentified vehicle fired shots from within the vehicle.
Cecilia Thomas, the infant who was struck in the head, was sent to Comer Children’s Hospital for treatment after being transported there by helicopter. Her condition was first reported to be life-threatening; nevertheless, she did not survive the injuries that she sustained and passed away.
