According to a 13-year-old boy, he is the first player to complete the original Tetris game and get to the kill screen.
The teenager, who goes by the handle Blue Scuti on social media, uploaded a video to his YouTube profile on Tuesday that purportedly showed him winning the well-known puzzle game. 404 Media claims that an artificial intelligence bot previously held the record.
According to the video, Blue Scuti recognized he was almost done with the game approximately 38 minutes in.
In the video, he adds, “I missed it.”
He exclaims, “Oh my God,” as he keeps playing. “Please take a crash.”
The game abruptly stops as Blue Scuti receives another line, and he begins to breathe heavily with excitement.
“Oh my God! God, oh God. God, oh God. Indeed,” he replies. “I’m going to faint.” My fingers don’t feel at all. My hands don’t feel right.
According to 404 Media, Blue Scuti was the first player to complete the game on the original Nintendo Entertainment System. According to the news source, he also shattered the global records for total number of lines, level accomplished, and overall score.
Nintendo was contacted by NBC News for a statement.
Tetris prodigy Blue Scuti revealed to streamer ITZsharky1 that he has previously come very close to winning the game.
“After 30 minutes of play, my biggest struggle was when the nerves kicked in,” he remarked.
