Pregnancy symptoms are different in different people. Many of the early signs of pregnancy are similar to the ones you experience before getting your period. None of these early symptoms can help determine whether you are pregnant or not. That is until you take a pregnancy test.

  • Final Words

Nowadays, it is possible to take a pregnancy test at home. All you need is a pregnancy kit. You can get the MomMed pregnancy test done for accurate results.

Take a pregnancy test a week after a missed period. This is considered the best time to detect pregnancy as the HCG levels in your body are high. Make sure that you get a quality pregnancy test kit. In this case, you can rely on MomMed, a baby and maternity brand offering ovulation and pregnancy test strips. They also offer other products such as baby scales, kids’ toys, etc.

When to take a pregnancy test?

Some symptoms indicate a woman is pregnant. If you are experiencing any of these things, there’s a good chance that you are about to become a mother. You may wonder how early can you detect a pregnancy—in most cases, pregnancy can be detected as early as a few days before a missed period, though it’s most accurate a week after.

  1. Missed period

The most obvious sign of pregnancy is a missed period. This is when most women decide to take a pregnancy test to see if their intuition is correct.

Some newly pregnant women might get implantation bleeding. This bleeding is lighter, spottier, and shorter than the regular period. If you get light bleeding a few days before your period is supposed to start, there’s a chance you are pregnant. Just to be sure, you should take a pregnancy test.

  1. Abdominal cramp

Light abdominal cramping during the first 12 to 13 weeks of pregnancy is very common. These cramps feel just like period pain. You might get pain on one or both sides of your lower abdomen. This pain is the result of your expanding uterus.

If you are experiencing severe cramping for a few days, you may be pregnant. But you cannot be certain until you take a pregnancy test.

  1. Tender breasts

One or two weeks after conception, you might notice changes in your breasts as they get bigger and tenderer than before. This happens due to hormonal changes in your body.

  1. Vomiting

Most women feel nauseous, especially in the first one or two months of pregnancy. These feelings usually strike in the morning. However, that doesn’t mean that it won’t trouble you at other times of the day.

Vomiting feelings or nausea should go away as you enter the second trimester. For some, it might continue throughout the pregnancy. Since these symptoms are not harmful, you don’t need to worry much. You can, however, ask your gynecologist to prescribe some medication to control these feelings.

  1. Fatigue

Increased production of progesterone might cause fatigue. This is more common during the first trimester. During this time, you should give more rest to your body. Go to sleep early if you don’t feel good.

To reduce fatigue, you must follow a balanced diet and do some light exercise unless your OBGYN advises against it.

  1. Food or odor aversions

During pregnancy, women become more sensitive to taste or smell. As a result, they might hate certain food or snacks. It is also possible that you might dislike the way your favorite dish smells.

These symptoms are very common and many women experience them. This happens due to drastic hormonal changes in your body.

Final Words

If you experience any of the above-mentioned things, it is better to get a pregnancy test done. It takes just a few minutes to take a pregnancy test using a pregnancy test kit.
