In a San Francisco robbery attempt, Pearsall was shot and injured.
Ricky Pearsall, a rookie wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, was wounded in a robbery attempt and his mother provided an update on his condition.
The rookie 49ers player was shot in the chest during the San Francisco heist. Erin Pearsall stated on Facebook that the bullet missed any important organs as it passed through his back and into his chest. Late on Saturday night, she posted the update on her Facebook page.
“Update on my baby boy,” she began. “I want to thank God first and foremost for keeping my newborn child safe. He is really fortunate that God protected him. The bullet that entered his chest came out of his back. Thank God it did not hit any of his important organs.
She said, “He is in a good mood right now.” “My friends, life is really valuable. Kindly show each other affection. By God’s favor, my son was spared today. Pray for my baby, please.”
Pearsall seemed to be seen entering an ambulance in a video that was uploaded on X.
San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott said that Pearsall was in stable condition after being taken to a hospital on Saturday along with the 17-year-old suspect in the shooting.
The 23-year-old NFL star was alone when, according to authorities, a suspect with a pistol tried to rob him in the Union Square neighborhood. This happened just after 3:30 p.m. local time. Scott said that many shots were fired.
“A struggle between Mr. Pearsall and the suspect ensued, and gunfire from the suspect’s gun struck both Mr. Pearsall and the subject.”
The seized gun supposedly belonged to the suspect. According to Scott, the adolescent took the action on his own, and there was no sign that Pearsall, a football star, was the target of any kind.
In San Francisco, we hold people accountable in this way. At a press conference later on Saturday, San Francisco Mayor London Breed declared that robberies and other acts of violence of this nature would not be accepted in our community.
“Ricky Pearsall and his family are in our thoughts and prayers following this awful and infrequent tragedy at Union Square. He has a promising future, and I’m excited to watch him get better and return to the field.”
