Three individuals were killed in an auto shop explosion that shook an Ohio neighborhood, according to CNN affiliate WKRC.
Highland County firefighters responded to “an explosion and a fire” at the business at 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District Chief David Manning.
“It definitely did rock and shake the area,” stated Manning. “We could feel it at the firehouse,” which is roughly 4 to 5 streets away.
According to WKRC, one individual was also rushed to the hospital as a result of the incident.
Manning said the fire marshal’s office was examining the area Tuesday evening. There was no damage reported to adjacent structures.
Highland County is located in southern Ohio, approximately 65 miles east of Cincinnati.
