On Sunday, the rescue of people from a capsized boat off the Florida coast turned sad, with one person found dead and five missing. According to sources, the U.S. Coast Guard first responded to a call from a good samaritan reporting the capsized vessels approximately 29 miles off St. Lucie Inlet.

According to someone on board, USCG crews were able to rescue four out of nine people after the boat capsized on Friday

One person was found dead and another five remain missing, according to the USCG and Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR).
MCFR took the four rescued passengers to the hospital after they were flown to Stuart Airport by chopper.

According to the fire rescue agency, one person sustained “serious injuries,” while the other three suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The search for the missing five passengers is still ongoing.
